Cafe Curtains are back!
I know we don’t use the word “curtains” very often in our industry, but in the case of cafe curtains, nothing else sounds quite right. These half panels were very popular many years ago, but like all trends, they ran their course and became passe. Also like all trends, what goes around comes around again. I for one am happy to welcome this trend back into the spotlight.
Space challenges.
One of common challenges with Cafe Curtains is mounting space. A majority of cafe curtain hardware is mounted inside the window frame. This is usually not a very large area. Helser Brothers offers our 5/8″ Petite Sash Bracket to fill this need. It’s a skinny little bracket that fits perfectly on window moldings. If you want the 7/8″ diameter rod, we can trim the sides off of our inside mount bracket to make it narrower.
Going the distance.
Our 5/8″ rods have a hefty bracket to bracket maximum of 64″ for a lightweight treatment! You can span 128″ with one center bracket! We can also supply our 7/8″ rod with a bracket to bracket maximum of 73″ for a lightweight treatment. With the larger diameter you can span a total of 146″ with one center support! Our 1/2″ wide petite brackets are perfect little center supports.
Center support challenges.
In the image below you can see how we handled a window with an invisible corner. Since we could not mount a bracket on the glass, we welded a post to the corner of the rod and installed it with an inside mount bracket on the window ledge. This option works well for wider windows with no spot to mount a support bracket.
