For nearly two decades, Alisha has been the creative force behind her award-winning firm Alisha Taylor Interiors, based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Today, we’re excited to showcase one of our favorite designs of hers: the DC Ranch Villa.

The main room’s color palette features soothing tones of beige complemented by natural wood hues. Using the right color palette, fabrics, and lighting, can bring a calm and collected feel to any space. These details are what make this the perfect room for a serene retreat.
For the drapery treatment, Alisha opted for our double rod and bracket setup to layer a sheer inner drapery with a beige blackout outer drapery. She chose our 1-1/8″ Ruffino Track, Ruffino Track Double Bracket, and the Pacha finial. To complement the natural brown accents in the room, she opted for our Vintage Brass finish.

In the dining room, the stunning gold chandelier casts a dreamy ambiance over the space. Alisha’s keen eye for lighting is evident throughout her designs, where these eye-catching fixtures imbue each room with modernity and style. The addition of the gold chandelier and contemporary light fixtures throughout the villa add an element of elegance that perfectly complements the classic furniture pieces.
Office Space

Our favorite room from the DC Ranch Villa is undoubtedly the office. This space carries forward a natural color palette, featuring beige drapery, a woven brown center table, brown tile flooring, and a lightly lined couch.
The standout feature, however, is the greenish-blue accent wall. A deep navy shade, like the Dunn Edwards Novelty Navy used here, can transform an office into a vibrant, energetic workspace. A little bit of blue can go a long way! 😉
Alisha opted for our 1-1/8″ Ruffino Ripplefold Traverse track, paired with the Standard Vertical Adjustable Bracket and topped with the Callisto finial. The oyster shell finish brings a champagne-like shine that works perfectly with the beige drapery and enhances the room’s overall aesthetic ✨.

About The Designer
“Alisha is the magic behind Alisha Taylor Interiors. She has been running her design studio in Arizona for almost 20 years and has been recognized for her award-winning designs locally and nationally. With a B.A. in Interior Design and extensive CAD training, Alisha enjoys combining the technical aspect of construction with the creative side of interior design to create stunning homes incorporating everything from tile designs to gorgeous furniture.
Alisha’s passion for design started when she was in the 6th grade and she ‘redesigned’ her classroom furniture plan on the back of a school assignment. She arrived at school the next day to find the classroom rearranged based on her design. A note was left on her desk from her teacher that read, “You should think about being an architect or designer someday.” She has been creating and redesigning spaces ever since. When not designing, you will find Alisha cheering on her kids in all their activities from baseball to dance, and then escaping with her husband to travel the country to architecturally rich destinations.”
We’d like to extend our gratitude to the talented photographer, Joshua Caldwell, who captured the beauty of Alisha Taylor Interiors’ work. His keen eye and skill have brought these designs to life. Check out more of his photography on Instagram @Joshcaldwell 📷.
