Today’s spotlight is on Joann Kandrac and Kelly Kole of Kandrac & Kole Interior Designs. They have done an impeccable job over the years with their interior design projects. Graciously, they have provided us with high-quality images of their projects that we have spotlighted in many of our own printed media and advertising.
About the Project
Some noticeable features about Joann and Kelly’s work are their dynamic design styles. In particular, this project shows their use of a cohesive color palette that gives each room a very clean and sophisticated look.
Kandrac & Kole know how to highlight specific parts of each room. In the master bedroom shot, their use of drapery hardware perfectly complements the high ceilings of the room and in the living area, the coal finish on the window treatments blends in with the dark finishes of the picture frames, leather chairs and baby grand piano.
When it comes to a room with minimalist decor, it is incredibly important to harmonize the color scheme with the main pieces of furniture while also highlighting the small details, so the room doesn’t appear bare or empty. For example, the monochrome palette of this master bedroom gives it a clean and calm aesthetic, perfect for peaceful lounging experience. The drapes are made using a 3-finger-pinch-pleat in a fabric with wavy graphic, which, combined with a leopard spotted chair, tufted bedroom bench, and modern end-table, accents the surroundings without being overwhelming. The only color in the room comes from the wooden floors, chair legs, and the vibrant view of nature from the windows.
Kandrac & Kole exclusively uses Helser Brothers products for their interior design projects. For the master bedroom they used our 1/4” French Pole Kit and picked vertical top mount custom bases in color Gunmetal. French poles are an excellent choice for those who want an understated sophistication. The room has a grey and white color scheme which makes the gunmetal finish work exceptionally well in the master bedroom. Our hand painted gunmetal finish is a dark, slightly blue-toned gray that goes exceptionally well with the monochrome color palette and accents the soft gray waves of the drapes.
