Finish is Key

Outdoor living spaces continue to be popular everywhere. Each climate affects outdoor drapery hardware in different ways. Helser Brothers has developed a three step powder coat process that strengthens the finish on our Catalina outdoor drapery hardware.

Our Powdercoating Process

Step 1

We start with metal that has been cleaned properly to create a strong bond between the metal and the base coat. This step creates a more durable finish for outdoor drapery hardware. Every piece in our Catalina line is cleaned well before powder coating.

Step 2

The second step is to powder coat the outdoor drapery hardware with zinc. After the zinc powder is sprayed onto the metal, we bake it in our on-site oven. Baking it hardens the zinc coat and seals the surface of the metal.

Step 3

catalina finishes on pyramids — Finally, we powder coat our outdoor drapery hardware in one of our signature base finishes: Coal, Earth or Alabaster. We also offer our popular Forge, Rustic and Canyon finishes in our Catalina line.

You can order many of our other beautiful finishes for use outdoors for a small upcharge. Just remember, some finishes will not wear as well outdoors and the warranty does not apply.
