They say the third times the charm, but we have barely gotten started! This third installment of our collaboration with Forest Drapery Hardware introduces new wood hardware to our Isabella line and new motorized options to our Vervo line. Not only that but we have also done some work on the website to improve functionality, which you can read more about below.
Seville Wood
The Seville collection, as well as most of the other new Isabella collections, is made from sturdy African Ayous wood, a beautiful cream-colored wood with a light grain that is perfect for use in interior design. This collection offers the smallest wood rod diameter at 1 ⅜”, as well as unique finials and brackets, such as the Boule finial and Belay bracket. Perfect if you are looking to add a bit of rustic charm to a modern setting.
Valencia Wood
Despite offering traditional hardware designs, the Valencia collection stands out due to its finishes. Unlike the other collections, Valencia hardware is made with Ash wood, a strong wood with highly detailed graining. The small selection of finishes offered focuses on bringing out the natural beauty of the wood for striking and eye-catching results.
Cordoba Wood
Cordoba shares a lot of similarities with our signature Isabella wood hardware, including both fluted and smooth rods and the Reggio and Milan finial. The main difference, aside from a few new finial and bracket options, is the finishes. All 10 of the Cordoba finishes are unique to this collection and 3 of those finishes (Stone, Sand Gold, and Forests version of Leather) are distressed to give the hardware the effortless elegance of a well-loved antique.
Granada Wood
The largest of the 4 collections, Granada comes in at a stately 2 3/4″ in diameter. It offers many of the same finials and brackets as its somewhat smaller sister Cordoba, but unlike the other collections, Granada comes unfinished. This raw state allows the subtle grain and creamy color of the Ayous wood to take center stage. Its lack of finish combined with its larger size, makes the Granada collection an excellent addition to a farmhouse or rustic-inspired room.
Motorized DSXL LED
Like its non-motorized cousin, the Motorized DSXL LED collection feathers a sleek, low-profile track with a built-in LED strip. This dimmable strip provides backlighting for the rod and drape, making it ideal for high-end hotels and commercial settings. The best part is that the motor and LED strip are both controlled by the Diamond Sense Remote for the ultimate convenience.
Motorized Recessed Traverse
While recessing an FMS track is possible, it can be a difficult and tedious install. Once it is recessed, it is especially difficult to fix or replace without ripping the entire thing out of the ceiling! To combat this, the RMS, or Recessed Motorized System, was created. Like its non-motorized version, the RTS or Recessed Track System, the RMS has a two part track that consists of a profile, which is recessed into the ceiling and seals off any gaps, and the track itself, which is held in place with a tension strip. This makes installing, uninstalling, and repair all significantly easier. Also, you have a choice between a regular motor pulley or an upside-down motor pulley, which can also be recessed into the ceiling so the motor is hidden!
Motorized BCS
BCS stands for Blind Contract System and is a heftier version of the ever-popular Motorized RBS. It has a larger headrail, more robust cord rolls, and a stronger motor. This allows the BCS to support blinds up to 45 lbs. and 120″ (10′) long, which is near 5x the max weight and 3′ longer than what is allotted for its smaller companion. So, if you have a heavy-duty shade, extra-large or long windows, or are concerned about repeated use stressing the hardware, then the Motorized BCS is the faithful workhorse you need.
Website Updates
New Landing Page
We wanted to make our homepage easier to use and more responsive for different devices, so we have updated our landing page. We included links to the most important pages on the site, including links to the New Products, Quickship, Workroom, Finishes, and Samples pages. You can also shop each line by clicking on its logo in the ‘Shop by Line’ section.
Organization by Collection
You have probably noticed by now that the Isabella, Metro, Ruffino, Obscura, and Vervo lines are no longer divided by type of hardware (such as ‘Brackets’), but by specific collections (such as Dresden & Deventer Traverse Rods). This is because of the massive amounts of new products we are introducing as part of our collaborations with Forest and will grow even larger when we bring on Comfortex and Colorlux. The products were divided into collections for two reasons: First, it allows you to see what components go into the assembled items so you no longer need to try and figure out what can be used with what. Secondly, it creates a demarcation between Helser Brother products and those from our collaborators. Many of these new products cannot be used with our products, either because of size or finish, so dividing by collection allows you to see what products can be used together.
Signature Hardware
If the new collection organization has you wondering where all of our original hardware is, don’t fret! You can find our hardware under the ‘Signature’ collection in Isabella, Metro, and Ruffino.
I am impressed with your consistent attention to quality as you grow your collections.
We turn to Helser Brothers first for the sleekest, smartest drapery systems. It is nice to know you will be partnered with Comfortex and offer shade solutions as well.
