2022 is just rolling right along and so are we! Thanks to our collaboration with Forest Drapery Hardware, we can introduce roller shades to our clientele for the first time in Helser Brothers’ history. It is exciting to not only be able to provide even more amazing options for our equally amazing clients, but to be able to work with our friends over at Forest! Huzzahs all around π₯³ π!
Now, without further ado, here is the rundown on our new roller shades.
Apollo Chain-Drawn Roller Shades
If you want a cost-effective treatment option without losing out on the quality, Apollo roller shades are a great start. They offer Direct or Cassette mounted headrails that can hold up to 8 lbs. They are recommended for lightweight shades, such as screen or sheer fabrics.
Mercury Chain-Drawn Roller Shades
Mercury roller shades offer the most in terms of options. Choose between 3 mounting styles (Direct, Semi-Open, and Double Fascia) and 3-5 different fascia finishes (depending on style). The shades in this collection are chain-drawn but can be made to be spring-loaded for an upcharge. Motorized versions are also available!
Mercury Motorized Roller Shades
Like its chain-drawn sister collection, Motorized Mercury Roller Shades shades boast the same selection of styles, colors, and fabrics with the added benefit of the convenience of motorized hardware.
Atlantis Motorized Roller Shades
The heartiest of the bunch, Atlantis Roller Shades are built for heavy fabrics and use. These shades are all motorized and come in Direct or Cassette styles. They can lift up to 45 lbs of shade, making them perfect for tall, wide, or just heavily used windows. Perfect for residential and commercial settings!
Forest Sample Kits
As part of our collaboration, Forest is letting us offer our clients great deals on their marketing samples and sales kits. Some things included are Finish Chip Binders, Wall Mounted displays, and a Marketing Kit that contains a bit of everything! If you wish to customize your displays or kits, let us know so we can get you in contact with a Forest sales rep!
What’s the Difference?
While many of our clients have probably worked with Roller Shades before, it is still very new to Helser Brothers and we thought it would be nice to give you a brief rundown of the mounting styles so you can feel confident on which shade will work best for your design.
Direct Mount
Direct Mount roller shades are as simple as their names. These shades do not have a fascia or cassette. Instead, they are straightforward rolls mounted onto specially designed end-pieces that serve as a bracket, end-cap, and control mechanism for the chain or motor. Don’t let the simplicity of the assembly fool you though, even without the bells and whistles, Direct Mount Roller Shades are still elegant.
Direct Mount Shades are available in the Apollo, Mercury, and Atlantis collections.
Cassette Mount
Cassette Mount Roller Shades are the most recognizable style due to its use in many commercial settings. It consists of a cassette shell that encases and hides the roller shade and mechanisms. It is a great option if you desire a modern look.
Cassette Mount Shades can be found in the Apollo and Atlantis collection. See the Double Fascia style below if you wish to purchase something similar in the Mercury collection.
Semi-Open Mount
Semi-Open Mount Roller Shades combine the Direct and Cassette styles together by offering a cassette-type fascia that doesn’t fully encase the roll. Instead the roll peeks out from the bottom while the mechanisms are still hidden. It is the best choice for those who trying to decide between a Direct or Cassette mount!
Semi-Open Mount Shades can be found in both the chain-drawn and motorized Mercury collections.
Double Fascia
The Double Fascia Mount Roller Shade style is very similar to the cassette mount in that it has a fascia and end-caps encasing the roller shades and components. The big difference, aside from the Double Fascia being available in different finishes, is the ability to use 2 different shades with side channels for near perfect light control!
Double Fascia Shades are available in both the chain-drawn and motorized Mercury collections.
Whatβs Next?
While this is the last wave of products from our long-time friends over at Forest Drapery Hardware, it is not nearly the end of our planned releases! We have more collaborations we intend to release this year from other great suppliers, so keep a watchful eye out for our announcement newsletters.
However, the next two drops are both Helser Brothers exclusives! This includes a big chunk of new finishes for our hardware and several new hardware designs created by our employees and customers! We look forward to seeing you then!
