Our clients will surely attest whether you are creating a single, a room full, or a whole house full of window treatments, it is easy to spend a lot of money. Sometimes, in the effort to attract and appease your customers, you end up taking a cut in profits. We here at Helser Brothers want to not only make custom draperies easy but also affordable.

With that in mind, we created our Helser Brothers Reward Program, or HB Bucks for short, to help our clients provide top-notch quality hardware to their customers for a reasonable price while still getting compensated for their hard work. If you haven’t heard of this program, or are confused or uncertain about it, keep reading to learn the ins and outs of your HB Bucks.

How to Earn HB Bucks

The easiest way to earn Bucks is to purchase from our online store. For every $20 you spend, you get 1 point. Each point is equal to $1 and can be used to get discounts on future purchases.

There are other ways to earn bucks, such as:

• Referrals
• Sharing and Following us on Social Media
• Completing your Gratisfaction profile
• Awards for contests and giveaways

You won’t earn points for items purchased with points or for any shipping fees.

So if you zero out your order using your points, you will not earn any points for that order. However, if you use your points and still have a balance to pay, you will earn points for the balance.

Example: I ordered $300 worth of product and applied all of my accrued points, resulting in the order being reduced to $150. I will earn 7 points (rounded down) instead of the 15 I would have earned if I spend $300.

How to Spend HB Bucks

We all know how easy it is to spend money and using HB Bucks isn’t much different. Here are two ways to redeem your bucks:

Step 1

When hovering over the cart icon in the upper right of the screen, you will see 2 options – View Cart and Checkout. You can redeem points in both options.

View Cart

This option allows you to see what you have put into your cart so far. You can choose to continue shopping or to go to checkout from here.

Checkout

This option takes you directly to the check out page.

Step 2

In View Cart, there will be an option right below the cart content section (below).

In the Checkout, the option is at the top right of the page (below).

Step 3

In both cases, press ‘Apply’ to use your HB Bucks on the order.

HESLER HELPFUL TIP:
There is no option to choose the number of points used. The system is programmed to work like so:

If you have more points than the purchase amount, it will use the number of points equal to the purchase and deduct them from your total points.

Example: Currently I have 298 points available to spend, but my order is only $125. By applying my points, I will get my order for free and be reduced to 173 points.

If you have fewer points than the purchase amount, it will use all of the available points and you will need to pay the difference.

Example: If I were to purchase something for $350 and use my points, it would use all 298 available points and I would have to pay the remaining $52.

Step 4

Finish checking out to finalize the point use.

You might note that a shipping fee appears if you reduce the total order cost to less than $100. See the images below for an example.

This is just an unfortunate side effect of a coding conflict and can be disregarded. Since we always review orders before sending them to production, you will not be charged immediately when placing a web order.

We will use the order amount before the points were applied to determine the cost of shipping. If you were spending $100+ on the initial order, we will honor the free shipping.

How to Use the Rewards Widget

First, make sure you are logged into your helserbrothers.com account. The widget uses your web account login info. If you do not have a web account with us, you will need to register for one to earn and use HB Bucks. Registering online will automatically enroll you in the rewards program.

Next, to access the widget, click on the  in the lower right corner.

This will bring up a pop up with the Helser Brothers Rewards Landing Page.

Landing Page

The first thing you will notice is two tabs in the middle of the pop up named ‘Earn’ and ‘Referral’. If we have a special promotion or deal going on, you will see a third named ‘Claim’.

Earn

This tab has optional tasks that you can complete for bonus points. They are super easy and quick to do, so it is definitely worth it!

Referral

This tab has a code that you can give to your friends in the trade to indicate that you are the one who referred them. It also gives them a few points to start off with. If they register and make their first online purchase, you will get a good chunk of bonus points. Everyone wins!!

Your Profile

When you first log in, you will be met with a notice that says you can earn bonus points for filling out your profile. Like the other bonus points, this is optional.

Helpful Helser Hints
If you decide to fill it out, this is what you will be asked for:

• Birthday
• Gender
• Zip Code and Country
• Home and Work Phone number

Your birthday is the only one that will be shown on your profile.

You will also have the ability to upload a profile image (recommended size is 300 pix x 300 pix) as well as enter a brief description of yourself.

You can access your profile through the Settings Menu.nal.

Settings Menu

In the upper right of the pop up is your profile image or the first letter of your first name and a button with 3 parallel lines.

Home

The Home option brings you back to the landing page with the Earn and Referral tabs.

View Profile

 The View Profile option brings you to your profile page. This will display your picture, name, email, birthday (if entered). It will also have your current point balance

My Lifetime Points

This button brings you to a page that shows your current redeemable points as well as three columns that show any points on hold, available points, and the number of points you have redeemed so far

Transaction History

The Transaction History option brings you to a page that shows the records of your points earned and spent. It also shows what order is associated with each point redemption
