You are invited to compete in the first ever Helser Brothers Stitch Rally, a rally-style sewing race at the Custom Workroom Conference in Spartanburg South Carolina!
Competition has been a big part of window coverings industry expos as long as I can remember. Industry associations and organizations, for instance, host judged window coverings design competitions with various categories and places fairly regularly. There does, however, seem to be a new trend emerging where the competitions are becoming more and more like showdowns; epic clashes between industry titans; bloody battles (pin pricked finger tips) ending with just one conqueror and a vanquished opponent. I might be over dramatizing that a bit but the fact remains; You love competition! Whether you are motivated by the prizes, the bragging rights, or your brain is just simply wired that way, you love it. Knowing this, and knowing that you love attending shows that are as fun as they are educational, we came up with “The Helser Brothers Stitch Rally.”
It is a rally-style race, meaning mainly that it will be timed with a stopwatch and the quickest time wins.
If you are fast enough you could leave Spartanburg with one of three trophies filled with hundreds of dollars worth of Amazon gift cards.
The rally tracks are made of 10oz cotton duck fabric and were generously provided and printed by Jeanelle Dech and the awesome team at Adaptive Textiles, and your rally machine will be either a Juki DDL-5550N or a Brother S-7300-403 which will be graciously provided by everybody’s favorite equipment source Sam Sloan at Sloan Machinery
We ordered extra tracks specifically for those who wish to practice before the show, all you have to do is ask. On request we will mail a practice track so that you can hone your skills in preparation for race day.
