We have just returned from another Custom Workroom Conference filled with new ideas, confidence, and energy. This year, our main focus was on increasing awareness of our new programs and cultivating fantastic relationships that we’ve enjoyed for decades.
Our new quick-ship and rewards programs were received almost as well as our epic self-serve candy station which featured a 10 pounds each of Boston Baked Beans and the Jelly Belly Cold Stone Creamery mix. Nothing says “we appreciate your business” like high fructose corn syrup right?
We tattooed legs, arms, shoulders, and feet all day long with a cool “Love Sewing” image that we had custom made especially for this group. People came to our booth just to get one and most seemed anxious to get home and freak out their loved ones.
The Stitch Rally was a hit again. The always present smack-talk was especially entertaining though this years track proved very challenging. It was a tighter course full of hairpin turns humbling some of the most seasoned racers.
Congratulations to our three winners; First place – Nicole Kemmer of The Impeccable Nest, second place – Karen Barnes of The Elegant Window, and third place – Liz Hawkes of Windows By Liz
Sincere thanks to Janelle Dech of The Workroom Marketplace and Sam Sloan from Sloan Machinery for donating the tracks and the sewing machine, you both are fantastic to work with and very generous.
It was great to see so many long time friends and to make new ones. We are already looking forward to the 2020 CWC and hoping that we will see you all again!
Cheers, Jay Helser
